617 - Systems R&D, Lake Shore Cryotronics, Westerville, OH Lake Shore Cryotronics, a leading developer of high performance tools for the characterization of materials in temperature and magnet environments, has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Duties include new system design, as well as improvements to existing products following our ISO 9001 design procedure. A working knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor or SolidWorks 3-D CAD software is required. The ability to play an active role in conceptual designs and to translate those designs to solutions a must. Experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or magnetics (especially pertaining to cryogenics) is a plus, as is a working knowledge of modeling software packages such as ANSYS. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred) and 3+ years of related experience.
